Joe,
Thanks for the comment. I try and look at others who I feel a judgment starting to form as teaching me something about myself. It's natural to feel judgmental at times; as the goal is to harbor no judgment at all. One of the great lessons of practicing self-love and acceptance, is the ability to love and accept others more freely.

Joe,
Well said, "God, please let me fear and judge less …to be able to love more." I use something similar when I find myself agitated or bothered with someone, "God, bless them change me."

related to the above a very powerful phrase I came across was : 'God, please let me fear and judge less ...to be able to love more'....a positive and powerful affirmation I must use to engage more often when I can close down and feel unnecessarily constricted and overly cautious.

also read a similar thing about fear (on which you did a recent blog) ie that fear is the opposite of love as it's 'self' focused constrictive, all about protecting 'me'... (hence selfish fundamentally)...whereas love and reaching outside yourself (and judging and fearing less) is more about opening your heart and focusing on helping someone else....i think that is key: when feeling fearful and judgemental, ask 'What can I do to help someone in some way?' No wonder that many find volunteering and taking on a leadership role to be both liberating (from unreal fears and constricting judging) but also empowering in feeling good and socially connected.

You are welcome, Jared. It is always obvious (at least to me) when someone writes from the heart or from the head. I tend to value writing that comes from the heart and it is was obvious that you put your whole heart into this book. Good for you!

Hulbert,
Great stuff man! Thank you so much for commenting about my ebook. I think you really nailed it, "Happiness is around us. I think you just be really conscious of the moment your in order to unlock it; but it’s there, and it’s waiting for you to do so." That's awesome! "it's waiting for you to do so!" You're so right. We just have to wake up and be present to it! That's where gratitude comes in, it makes us become more present to the moment and the ability to recognize things around us.

Thanks!

Hi Jared. I just wanted to say thanks for writing this ebook. Usually I don't like to read articles that then point to opening up a PDF in order to leave a comment. But after reading this report, I'm glad I did so.

It was very nice of you to tell us about your life story, starting from when you were a zookeeper at twenty-two years old. I'm about go into my mid-twenties soon (turning twenty-four soon), and I don't know why and I don't who you are, but most of the earlier life you've described was something that I related to.

These things include being in a stage of life where everything seems confusing, where it seems happiness can only be found through temporary satisfactions, and where sometimes "escaping" from life sounds better than living everyday chasing a fantasy that makes us miserable.

Your words have touched me, especially on the lessons of love, purpose, and gratitude. It's nice to be in a cozy room with the heater on; it's nice to be able to look outside the window and see the blue skies, hearing the birds chirping and flying around; it's nice to have strawberries and slices of apples downstairs to eat; and finally, it's nice to be alive.

Happiness is around us. I think you just be really conscious of the moment your in order to unlock it; but it's there, and it's waiting for you to do so.

Thanks for writing this and inspiring me. I'm sorry for making this comment longer than usual. And I'm happy I somehow stumbled across this post before noon. It's going to make the rest of my day happier. Have a good day.
